St Giles House Bar and Bistro

SGH Bistro has introduced a new, relaxed dining experience within the stylish setting of St Giles House Hotel. Our diverse, seasonal menus offer everything from Breakfast and Morning Coffees, Light Lunches to 3 Course Dinner. To complement our Menus, our extensive Wine List has been created and sourced from local suppliers, offering an excellent range to suit all palates and occasions.

Our cosy wood-panelled Lounge provides the ideal setting to enjoy delights from our Afternoon Tea Menu, with Fresh Scones filled with Cream and Jam and selection of Cakes or to simply unwind with a digestif or coffee. Whilst our Cocktails are perfect to enjoy with friends, alongside al fresco dining on the Parisian-style Terrace; perfect in the summer-sun.

At SGH Bistro and bar, the aim is to not only focus on great, freshly prepared food but on providing a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to make your experience a memorable one.

Our 3 Private Dining rooms are available to make that special occasion a little more unique. With dining rooms to cater for any party from 6-50 guests, private dining at St Giles House creates an exclusive setting for any event.

Private Dining

St. Giles House offers an intimate, stylish venue suitable for all party sizes. Our two Maddermarket Rooms are easily serviceable from our main kitchen and offer the same high standards of food and service as our restaurant within an enclosed, private atmosphere.

Maddermarket One can sit a maximum of 12 people with the smaller but perfectly formed Maddermarket Two able to hold up to 8. Of course, if you require that little bit of extra space our Walnut Suite offers a host of possibilities (please see our Event section for further details).

St Giles House Bar & Lounge

Situated between our sun terrace and Restaurant is our Bar. Every day from 12:00pm, the Bar offers a selection of cocktails as well as Coffees and an array of Beers, Wines and Spirits. A perfect place to start your evening or for an aperitif before you dine with us. If the bar is too much for you why not escape into our lounge and sink into one of our sofas with a drink in hand. Alternatively you can end your evening meal in here with a digestif or coffee and petit fours. Once relaxed you can be assured you'll find it hard to leave!
